Welcome to Rutland Adult and Community Learning
Part of Rutland County Council, we offer a range of courses aiming to upskill and boost productivity, employability and wellbeing, delivered in Rutland’s libraries.
You could study English, Maths and IT from the basics to Functional Skills qualifications, gain life-saving First Aid knowledge, learn a new language, develop vocational skills and more.
We offer concessions on course fees if you claim certain benefits or have a low household income, and many of our qualifications are fully funded.
Through our free Information, Advice and Guidance Service, we can also help you to find the right course with us or other providers, or access other services such as employment support or wellbeing support.

I feel stronger and more confident and I’ve met some nice new friends.
I would strongly urge anybody to join a course at RALS and get something back for the better in your life and improve your confidence and self-esteem.
My experience is that through having attended the adult education classes my Italian has improved beyond my wildest expectations.
I now converse comfortably face to face and on the phone, whilst thinking in Italian.
It has taken a little while to do but it is worth it in the end.
I enjoy coming to see my friends in class and interact with them.
First day at work tomorrow!
