How to Enrol

Due to a reduction in our administration team we will be implementing a new procedure to maintain a fair and efficient booking system.

Bookings can now only be made with payment in full and a completed Learner Agreement form for the current academic year.  If you are entitled to any concessions, please make us aware at enrolment.

Reservations made on our web site will be retained for 7 days, during which time you must contact us to make your payment and complete all your enrolment details.

Oversubscribed art courses will be open to enrolments on the first week of the previous term eg February Pottery classes will be open on the first session of the January class.  Enrolments will be taken on a first-come, first- served basis, subject to the conditions above.

We are hoping to start online enrolments when our enrolment software and payment system become compatible. 

Qualification Courses

We will reserve a place on your chosen course and then a member of staff will contact you to arrange a pre-assessment and enrolment interview.  Your place is not secured until your assessments, enrolment and funding are confirmed.

If you decide to enrol, you are also accepting that RALSS may not be able to provide the services or programmes outlined in promotional materials in a range of circumstances, including low class numbers, staff sickness, industrial action, severe weather conditions or any circumstances that may affect the health and safety of staff or learners.

 Step 1

Reserve Your Place

Complete the online form on the page showing your chosen course. An email will be sent to our admin team who, provided there is still space on the course, will reserve a space for you for up to 7 days.

You must contact us within those 7 days to complete your Learning Agreement and pay the fees, or your reservation will not be held.

You will be required to acknowledge and agree to the terms in our Learner Handbook so, if possible, please download and read it before contacting us.

Step 2

Enrol & Pay

Enrol via email

Download and fill in our Learning Agreement 2024-2025 (enrolment form)

Once completed, please send it to us via email (adultlearning@rutland.gov.uk), or deliver it in person. Please do this before paying for your course, but you will still need to have completed your payment within the 7 day period. 

Enrol by phone

Please call us on 01572 758122 between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and we will complete a Learning Agreement over the phone. We can also take your payment at the same time.

Enrol in person

Visit us between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and complete a Learning Agreement and pay in person.

Please read our Learner Handbook before doing this – you’ll need to confirm that you’re aware of its contents on your Learning Agreement.

Pay for your course

First, please complete our Learning Agreement form and send it to us, or call us and complete it over the phone.

Then, you can

  • call us on 01572 758122 and pay via card
  • visit us in person and pay by card, cash or cheque
  • post a cheque to us with your Learning Agreement form

Your place is not guaranteed until we have received your payment.
