Who is it for?

This course is for anyone who is familiar with using their DSLR/Mirrorless camera and would like to improve their photography.


What will I learn?

You will learn about and understand the ingredients that lift pictures from ‘the ordinary’, as well as assessing the opportunities and constraints offered by the subject matter and using them to improve your photography.

You’ll gain a practical understanding of light & tonal range, composition, depth of field. viewpoint and narrative, and more. You’ll also learn how to take pictures in a more confident and fluent way in a variety of situations, and avoid technical errors to achieve a higher success rate.

Learning will be via practical, hands-on use of your camera, as well as seeing and understanding simple explanations and examples.


What could I do after this?

You could use your new skills to improve the photos you take in your own environments. You could also seek more advanced  photography courses to continue developing your knowledge.
