Who is it for?
This course is for adults aged 19+ who don’t have a maths qualification at GCSE C / 4, Level 2, equivalent or above, or already have a maths qualification but are currently working at a lower level, and would like to improve their confidence in working with numbers.
What will I learn?
The course will cover how to complete calculations without the use of a calculator, as well as looking at underpinning concepts and vocabulary. We will look at methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and discuss the value of memorising times tables .
Some of the methods may be what you learned at school but we will also cover methods that are likely to be new to you.
What could I do after this?
Multiply courses are designed to improve your confidence and ability to use maths in everyday life, at home or at work. You could use your new or improved skills in lots of ways – including when managing your money, supporting children with their learning, seeking employment opportunities or progressing your career.
You could also continue developing your numeracy skills by progressing onto other maths courses, some of which may include accredited qualifications
