Who is it for?

This course is for adults aged 19+ who want to acquire or progress their drawing skills, explore design approaches and painting styles, and explore watercolour media: traditional watercolour / gouache / inks / acrylics. It is suitable for all abilities.


About the course:

You will participate in a series of group exercises aimed at expanding your drawing and painting skills, design approaches and awareness of art history connections. You will also learn how to research, plan and produce painting(s), whilst building a sketchbook of your art over the duration of the course.


What could I do after this?

You could continue to develop your skills by joining a more advanced course, such as Drawing and Painting: Intermediate to Advanced, or courses in alternative subjects such as Life Drawing, offered by RACL or other providers. You could also research & practice a new media, or research the significance and influence of an unfamiliar art movement.
