Over eight weeks you will learn about sustainable gardening techniques and spend time nurturing your outdoor space for nature, the environment and most importantly yourself.

You’ll explore how to:

  • Improve the soil to reduce weeds and increase moisture retention
  • Make homegrown compost using your household waste
  • Carry out autumn planting for Winter crops or planning for next year
  • Save your own seeds
  • Plant for free
  • Encourage wildlife to increase biodiversity
  • Save water
  • Notice the seasonal changes and how they affect us all

What could I do after this?

After this course, you could use these skills to cultivate your own sustainable outdoor space, or continue to volunteer at Growers Row.
