Who is it for?
This course is suitable for adults aged 19+ who can use a computer or laptop and would like to learn the basics of Microsoft Word.
What will I learn?
During this three-week course, you will discover how to create documents and leaflets/flyers using Microsoft Word. You’ll learn about creating and saving documents, formatting text and paragraphs, inserting tables or pictures, and reviewing and proofreading documents using Word’s built-in features. You’ll also discover how to use Word to improve the appearance, format and accessibility of documents you produce.
This course will be taught on a laptop provided by Rutland Adult and Community Learning.
What could I do after this?
You could use your new skills to create documents or leaflets for use at home, in the community or at work. You could also continue to develop your skills by attending further courses, such as our Introduction to Excel or Digital Functional Skills courses, or those offered by other providers.
