Who is it for?

This course is aimed at adults aged 19+ whose Spanish skills are at an advanced level and can:

  • understand extended speech and follow complex lines of argument
  • understand most TV, news and current affairs programmes, and the majority of films
  • read articles and reports and understand contemporary literary prose
  • interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, and take an active part in discussions
  • present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects, and explain viewpoints
  • write clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects, such as essays, reports and letters

What will I learn?

This course will help you to practice conversation, improve your Spanish skills and learn interesting themes relating to Spanish-speaking countries. You will discuss a wide variety of topics and improve your vocabulary.

You will learn how to:

  • Refine your accent, intonation and pronunciation
  • Debate in Spanish with discussions on any topic of interest related to Spain or the Hispanic world such as arts, history, literature, current affairs etc
  • Deal with real-world simulation through roleplays in the most useful scenarios when travelling to a Spanish-speaking country
  • Learn more connectors and transition words to link complex ideas
