This online workshop offers you the opportunity to slow down your day and relax by playing with
words in a safe and respectful space. We will use a series of fun and engaging prompts to
encourage you to put pen to paper and produce your own responses through expressive writing.
You’ll learn about mindfulness as a poetic approach and how to use this technique to calm the mind
and unlock your imagination. There will be guided meditations to help you spark ideas. You can
share your responses with the group – but only if you want to.
Learners will be able to:
• Use mindfulness as an approach to develop creative writing
• Spark new ideas through a range of practical writing exercises
• Engage with expressive writing as a tool for wellbeing
You will need a computer, laptop or tablet with a microphone and preferably a camera, a reliable
internet connection and a notepad and pen.
