Who is it for?
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to improve or experiment with watercolour painting techniques
What will I learn?
You will learn how to develop a painting from sketches or interpretation of a secondary source image, use colour, tone and pattern, and develop your understanding of composition.
This term’s optional theme is ‘Wild’. ‘Wild’ can be interpreted in many ways: playful or serious, British woodland or tropical forest,
rural or urban spaces where an animal or person might roam, ruined castles or overgrown gardens– take your pick and enjoy exploring possible subjects.
What could I do after this?
Ongoing lessons in watercolour painting, with RALSS or other providers, could allow for practice specialism or a switch from one genre to another. You may also wish to develop portfolios with the aim of joining art societies or taking accredited courses.
