Who is it for?

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn watercolour painting skills or improve their existing watercolour painting techniques.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to do basic drawing, apply washes, mix colours, and research, plan and develop a painting.

This term’s optional theme is ‘Birds’. Sea shores to lakes, ducks to phoenix rising from the ashes, budgerigars to wise owls, realism to fantasy, still life to real life, this topic can be explored from any angle you choose.

What could I do after this?

Ongoing lessons in watercolour painting, with RALSS or other providers, could allow for practice specialism or a switch from one genre to another. You may also wish to develop portfolios with the aim of joining art societies or taking accredited courses.
