Who is it for?

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to improve or experiment with watercolour painting techniques

What will I learn?

You will learn how to do basic drawing, apply washes, mix colours and research, plan and develop a painting.

This term’s optional theme is ‘Garden’. We will be looking at a range of styles and approaches to painting garden themed subjects – anything from small detailed studies to views of stately-home vistas or your own lovely garden.

What could I do after this?

Ongoing lessons in watercolour painting, with RALSS or other providers, could allow for practice specialism or a switch from one genre to another. You may also wish to develop portfolios with the aim of joining art societies or taking accredited courses.
