Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care aims to help learners develop an understanding of the safe handling of medication, and support them in, or help them move towards, employment in the health and social care sector.

Course content:

  • Understand medication and prescriptions
  • Supply, storage and disposal of medication
  • Understand the requirements for the safe administrations of medication
  • Record-keeping and audit processes for medication.

Our online distance learning courses allow learners to boost their skills and enhance their CV with the flexibility of studying where and when they like. They take a maximum of 16 weeks to complete and, upon successful achievement, learners will gain a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification.

This course is fully funded (free) for learners who meet eligibility criteria.
