Who it’s for:
This course is for anyone who can converse with some degree of fluency and understand the main points of texts written at B1 level. Learners joining this course will have some years of Spanish studies and knowledge of all the indicative verbs and the present of the subjunctive mood, expressing cause and reason, giving advice, making proposals and talking about feelings, characters, and personalities.
What you’ll learn:
You will develop your Spanish speaking, listening, reading and writing skills whilst exploring elements of the Hispanic culture.
Topics covered will include including telling stories and anecdotes using the four past tenses, expressing requirements and preferences when looking for somewhere to holiday, describing places using colloquial expressions, writing letters of complaints and talking about important decisions in your life. You will also revise the imperfect subjunctive & por and para & tense correlation in relative clauses, along with sentence connectors for adding, toning down, contrasting and refuting arguments.
By the end of the course, you will know about the Spanish style of life and be able to:
- Participate in discussions on people’s life choices, share points of view and offer advice
- Study and practice the different tenses
- Write about choices you would make in a variety of hypothetical situations.
- Choose, share and discuss texts and articles, written at B1 level, on contemporary matters or topics you find interesting.
