This is an interactive course with lots of learner participation, aimed at providing the skills and knowledge needed to perform the role of designated safeguarding person in Early Years provision.

This workshop will enable practitioners to identify the signs and symptoms of the four main types of abuse.

They will discuss the short term and long term effects of abuse, how to report concerns, information sharing, responding to disclosure, risk and vulnerability factors that make some children more likely to suffer abuse, and developing their own awareness and ability to act upon any concerns about the safety and welfare of children.
