Our AAT qualifications are roll-on, roll-off, meaning you can start at any point throughout the year, and are delivered through weekly workshops at our centre on the outskirts of Oakham.
Who is it for?
The AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting is suitable for anyone already working in accountancy or finance who wishes to gain formal recognition of their skills and progress in their career. It is also suitable for anyone who would like to go on to become an AAT full member and/or study for chartered accountant status, or start their own business through the AAT-licensed member in practice (MIP) scheme.
What will I learn?
This qualification comprises four mandatory units:
- Management Accounting: Budgeting
- Management Accounting: Decision and Control
- Financial Statements of Limited Companies
- Accounting Systems and Controls
You will also choose two additional units from the following:
- Business Tax
- Personal Tax
- External Auditing
- Cash and Treasury Management
- Credit Management
You will learn about preparing forecasts of income and expenditure, calculating and and using standard costing to improve performance, drafting statutory financial statements for a limited company, evaluating internal control systems, and more.
