Who it’s for:
This online qualification is aimed at adults who would like to gain an understanding of their role in supporting the preferences and needs of individuals in relation to their care or support.
What you’ll learn:
This course will help develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes of person-centred thinking, planning and review, working with individuals to carry out activities specified in their care or support plan, promoting health and wellbeing through nutrition and hydration, supporting individuals to maintain personal hygiene, supporting individuals to manage continence and the use of continence equipment, and supporting individuals with sleep.
You will study the following units:
- Understanding person-centred thinking and planning
- Care planning for the care worker
- Understanding nutrition and hydration in health and social care settings
- Principles of supporting an individual to maintain personal hygiene
- Understanding continence care
- Principles of supporting sleep
About our distance learning qualification courses:
Our distance learning qualification courses are provided through our partnership with Stamford College and are fully funded (free) for learners who meet the eligibility criteria. They are studied online, with no exams involved, and take a maximum of 16 weeks to complete. Upon successful achievement, you will be awarded a Level 2 Certificate.
