What will I learn?
Beginners will learn a variety of making and decorating techniques including how to choose and prepare the clay for a particular project, how to choose the best making technique for a project and various methods of surface decoration. More experienced potters will be encouraged to spend time on the design element of their pieces and spend time honing their skills in a supportive environment.

Course outcomes: Learners will produce one major or several smaller finished ceramic items in each block of classes. This will include some book and/or online research, design considerations and learning (and practising) the skills needed to make and decorate a strong piece of work. There is a small charge for fired items of 60p per 100g glazed ware.
