Who is it for?
The AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting is suitable for anyone already working in accountancy or finance who wishes to gain formal recognition of their skills and progress in their career, become an AAT full member and/or study for chartered accountant status, or start their own business through the AAT-licensed member in practice (MIP) scheme. It is also a progression route for anyone who’s completed the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and wants to undertake further study in this area.
What will I learn?
This qualification comprises of three mandatory units:
- Applied Management Accounting
- Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements
- Internal Accounting Systems and Controls
You will also choose two additional units from the following:
- Business Tax
- Personal Tax
- Audit and Assurance
- Cash and Financial Management
- Credit and Debt Management
You will learn about using internal processes to enhance operational control, analysing and reporting on business performance, drafting statutory financial statements for limited companies and consolidated financial statements, the impact of technology on accounting systems and more.
