Who it’s for:

This course is for people with about two or three years of Italian studies who have completed the A1 level and started A2, or those with knowledge of the present and past tense (including the imperfect and some conditional) who can recognise and use direct and indirect pronouns at a basic level, and basic expressions and vocabulary mainly useful for travelling or describing basic events.


What you’ll learn:

This course will increase your ability to communicate and write in Italian, improve your listening skills and expand your cultural knowledge through a variety of spoken activities, role-plays and listening activities based on real dialogues and video.

Content includes:

  • Idiomatic expressions, new traditions and places to visit
  • Recognising and using pronouns (direct & indirect)
  • Starting to use adverbs such as  “…già”, “non ancora…”, & a couple of pronominal verbs and colloquial expressions.
  • Using the conditional tense for polite questions, hypothesis and making suggestions
  • Translating an A2 beginners text into English and into Italian

What could I do after this?

You could continue to attend classes with RALSS or other providers, or self-study at home. You could also use your knowledge to communicate in Italian outside of class.
