Course Code: AWC312T5
Course Dates: Saturday, 27 Apr 2024 to 27 Apr 2024
Course Time: Daytime, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
Number of Sessions: 1
Venue: Oakham Enterprise Park

Who is it for?

This course is suitable for adults who already know the basic watercolour washes and would like to advance their painting skills.

What will I learn?

You will build upon your existing watercolour skills and refine your painting techniques. You’ll learn how to:

  • Create a painting from a primary source (e.g. a simple still life study) and/or a secondary source photo or sketch – e.g. a landscape or an animal.
  • Use colour, tone and pattern
  • Develop or advance your understanding of composition

What could I do after this?

Watercolour genres range from figurative to representational to abstract; design approaches from traditional to fantasy.  Lessons and workshops in watercolour painting can allow for practice specialism or a switch from one genre to another.

Learners might also wish to develop portfolios with an aim of joining an art society
