Our AAT qualifications are roll-on, roll-off, meaning you can start at any point throughout the year, and are delivered through weekly workshops at our centre on the outskirts of Oakham.

Who is it for?

The AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping is suitable for anyone wishing to begin their career in accountancy or finance, or anyone already working in an accountancy or finance role who wishes to gain formal recognition of their skills and progress in their career. It is also suitable for small business owners wanting to do their own books, anyone who would like to go onto be an AAT member or study for chartered status, or anyone looking to undertake further study in this area.

What will I learn?

This qualification comprises two units:

  • Bookkeeping Transactions
  • Bookkeeping Control

You will learn about processing customer and supplier transactions, processing receipts and payments, understanding controls in a bookkeeping system, reconciling bank statements with cash books, and more.
