Subject: Arts

Drawing comes in many forms and learners will explore different ideas and techniques of
established artists. Participation is focused around a series of exercises and observational drawing
designed to build skills. Classes will include some demonstrations, one to one guidance and a
chance to share and evaluate your drawings with the group.
The drawing sessions are designed to help build confidence and understanding, including sketching
techniques and subject matter, using pencil, pen, graphite, charcoal, and other materials.
Course outcomes:
During the course learners will produce a series of work exploring drawing techniques. These may
be presented as finished work or be used to inspire new personal explorations.
