Who is it for?

This course is aimed at anyone who wants to develop skills for fiction or life writing. A good story can be set in an ordinary home, workplace or battlefield – this course is for anyone with a gripping tale to tell!

What will I learn?

You will engage in discussions and short exercises to understand what makes a main character, how to set scenes, how to make plots and how to write dialogue.

You’ll also learn how to create dramatic conflict and viewpoints, a sympathetic hero and an interesting enemy, and understand the basics of making a strong plot.

What could I do after this?

You could join further Creative Writing courses with RALSS or other providers. You could also learn editorial skills or join a local creative writing group.
