Why an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is an excellent way to earn whilst you learn – you can gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in a paid job, whilst also studying a relevant qualification. Based in the workplace for a minimum of 30 hours per week, apprentices will receive support and guidance from a College Assessor to work through their qualification. For more information about Apprenticeships, click here.
Apprentices will attend a weekly workshop and have monthly mentoring appointments with their Assessor. With the help of their assessor, they will build a portfolio, which will then be used in their End Point Assessment (EPA). The EPA comprises of three components which must be passed for the apprentice to be deemed competent. Apprentices must also have achieved Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) prior to taking their EPA.
