Course Time: Afternoon, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Number of Sessions: 2
Venue: Oakham Enterprise Park
Who is it for?
This course is for adults aged 19+ who don’t have maths GCSE at C/4 or above and would like to learn how to cook low cost, nutritious meals in an air fryer.
What will I learn?
You will look at the prices and value for money of a variety of brands and types of ingredients. You will then use basic maths to weigh and measure your ingredients, and follow a recipe to cook a meal.
If you attend both sessions and complete the course, you will also take a Ninja air fryer home with you.
What could I do after this?
You could use your new skills to confidently prepare simple meals whilst keeping your costs low.
You could also continue building your numeracy skills and confidence by joining other courses offered by RALSS or other providers, such as budgeting, crafty maths or Functional Skills qualifications.
This free course is funded through our Multiply maths programme, so is only available to adults who:
- are aged 19+
- have lived in the UK for at least three years
- do not have Maths GCSE at C/4 or above
